Our Story
Steve started his journey in the firearms community in a professional capacity in 2010. He was certified as a Basic Handgun Instructor through the NRA with a desire to teach others in safe handling and use of firearms. From there an opportunity presented itself to work at an indoor range in Idaho Falls ID. (Guns N Gear). From there he wor
Steve started his journey in the firearms community in a professional capacity in 2010. He was certified as a Basic Handgun Instructor through the NRA with a desire to teach others in safe handling and use of firearms. From there an opportunity presented itself to work at an indoor range in Idaho Falls ID. (Guns N Gear). From there he worked on other certifications and training to help that business thrive in the community. Between conducting classes, selling guns, and running a clean safe place to shoot, he loved every minute, and never missed an opportunity to share his love of firearms and freedom. In 2016 Steve moved to Independence Indoor Shooting (in Meridian Idaho) where he was the Range Operations Manager. It was here that the Range Minded Podcast was born! We originally started with three hosts (Ricky, Mark, and Steve). Though Ricky and Mark pursued their professional careers while Steve maintained the grind. Steve has kept the vision alive, working hard towards creating good stewards of the 2nd Amendment!
